The community of Beatrice, Nebraska is mourning the death of 37-year-old Joshua May, who was fatally shot Tuesday morning in an incident that has prompted a large-scale, multi-agency investigation and left one suspect in custody.
According to the Beatrice Police Department, officers were dispatched to the area of 9th and Summit Streets after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting screaming and loud banging noises in the early morning hours.
