It is with a very heavy heart that we share the tragic news of the passing of Dr. Juston Gates, who was taken from us far too soon in a hunting accident on April 23, 2026, at 12:02 am. Dr. Gates, the beloved pastor of First Baptist Church in Forsyth, Missouri, was not only a devoted servant of God but also a mentor, friend, and pillar of strength to all who knew him.

Dr. Gates quickly became a friend to many after joining the church in 2020. His compassionate leadership and unwavering faith inspired countless individuals. He was always there to provide guidance, encouragement, and support, particularly for those with a calling to serve God, like myself. His mentorship was a gift that many cherished, and his loss leaves a deep void in the lives of his church family, his friends, and the community at large.

In his time as pastor, Dr. Gates brought a deep sense of peace and strength to the First Baptist Church of Forsyth. His ability to lead with both wisdom and kindness made him not only a man of God but also a friend to everyone he met.
