The city of Holyoke, Massachusetts is mourning the loss of 31-year-old Robert Abreu, who was fatally shot on the evening of April 18, 2026. The tragic incident has left family members, friends, and residents searching for answers as investigators work to determine what led to the violence.
According to the Holyoke Police Department, officers responded at approximately 5:39 p.m. to reports of gunfire near 139 Sargeant Street. Multiple 911 callers alerted authorities after hearing several shots in the residential neighborhood.
