Tyra Carmen Lattitia Bradley Obituary Anderson Country, SC Crash Death: Beloved Resident Has Died

The community of Anderson CountySouth Carolina is mourning the tragic death of 24-year-old Tyra Carmen Lattitia Bradley, who was killed in a devastating crash early Tuesday morning along Interstate 85.

According to Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore, emergency crews responded just before 5:30 a.m. near the 9-mile marker on Interstate 85 after reports of a serious motor vehicle collision. When first responders arrived, Bradley was found critically injured inside the wreckage and immediately received emergency treatment at the scene.

She was transported by air to Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, where medical teams worked to save her life. Despite extensive efforts, she later died from multiple traumatic injuries sustained in the crash. Officials have ruled her death accidental.

The crash occurred in the early morning darkness, shortly before sunrise, when visibility is limited and driver fatigue is often a major risk factor. Interstate 85 is a heavily traveled highway connecting South Carolina to Georgia and other southeastern states, carrying both commuter traffic and long-distance commercial vehicles.

Preliminary findings from the South Carolina Highway Patrol suggest that a Ford F-150 traveling on the interstate may have been involved in the incident. Investigators believe the driver may have fallen asleep, leading to a loss of control and the subsequent collision. Officials stress that the investigation is ongoing and no final conclusions have been made.

Emergency responders described a chaotic scene as they worked to extract Bradley from the wreckage and provide urgent care. Traffic in the area was temporarily restricted while investigators documented the scene and cleared debris from the roadway.

Tyra Bradley is being remembered by those who knew her as a young woman whose life ended far too soon. Her passing has left family members, friends, and the Easley-area community grieving and searching for comfort in the wake of the tragedy.

Authorities continue to examine evidence from the crash site, including vehicle data and roadway conditions, as they work to fully reconstruct the events leading up to the collision.
